Welcome! My name is Dan Shinder, the Drum Talk TV Founder, CEO, Cat Litterbox Changer and Dog Runner. I founded Drum Talk TV™ on January 7, 2013. Where does the time go? More than 1.3 MILLION FANS Strong, we reach millions more people around the world each month. In fact, we averaged a reach of 100 MILLION people online each since 2013 with zero paid advertising or paying for boosting posts to do so (I teach how, btw). Thanks for following what we do!

What is Drum Talk TV? We bring together the international community of drummers, musicians and music fans into a supportive, inspiring and entertaining format where everyone, from famous artists to unknown talents have the opportunity to shine.

With our new experiential membership site, www.DrumTalkTVBrilliance.com, we invite you to come enjoy our membership site for all music fans: Live Music-Themed Game Shows where you can win prizes, Fan Q&As with Artists, Producers and Record Execs, Monthly Drumming Challenges Honoring Artists where 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners get gift certificates to their favorite music stores and Exclusive Private Streamed Concerts for Members Only! And more fun experiences on the way! All this for less than a pizza or bucket of chicken a month!

“Drum Talk TV: The First Ten Years” is a documentary about how we started and what milestones we have reached along the way. The foundational material to thread our history together was filmed during our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration Show in Las Vegas with Jeff Berlin co-hosting with me, and A.D. Adams as the MC. Lots of well-wishing video clips from people like Carmine Appice, Carl Palmer, Steve Howe, Cindy Blackman Santana and many other legendary artists. You can see it here: https://www.facebook.com/DrumTalkTV/videos/581019077946962 It’s also featured at https://www.youtube.com/@DrumTalkTV

By the way, we don’t just cover the big rock stars, pop stars, jazz stars and educators. We cover all that and much more, and bring you interviews with lesser known and even unknown artists who just also happen to be great players and have a great story. We bring you music of many, many genres from all over the world of different cultural origins. Take some time to cruise through www.facebook.com/DrumTalkTV/videos to really get a taste of what we have for you, and what you can be a part of. And of course, you can explore the rabbit hole of playlists listed on this site as well while our new full site is being built.

We cover and have covered events such as the Winter NAMM Shows, Brian Tichy and Joe Sutton’s Bonzo Bash events, and their Ox & The Loon event, Billy Cobham's Art of the Rhythm Section Retreat, Breast Cancer Can Stick It!, The Singapore Drum Fest Drum-Off Global and Ultimate Drummers Weekend, Taiko Festivals in Japan and many more special features.

We are also on Instagram @drumtalktv If you are interested in having videos featured on our social channels, we have an easy process for submissions here: https://big.drumtalktv.com/videosubmissionguidelines

How did all this begin? While operating an online drums lessons platform Dan’s Drum Clinics, I had the idea that “Not all lessons are learned at a practice pad or behind a drum set. Lessons can be learned through the sharing of experiences of other artists and educators, and their unique perspectives on those experiences. We all have a journey, and we can learn from each other, no matter at what level those stories come from.”

Then I set out to do a few interviews with fellow educators in the last quarter of 2012. In December of 2012, I interviewed the first pro artist guest for what is now known as, “Drum Talk TV.” That artist was Glenn Sobel. By January 7, 2013, I had officially registered the business Drum Talk TV and left Dan’s Drum Clinics behind.

Later that month, I covered the 2013 Winter NAMM Shows, interviewing artists such as Tommy Aldridge, Nicko McBrain, Gavin Harrison, Carmine Appice, Cindy Blackman Santana, Stanton Moore, Daniel Glass, and many, many, many more, along with dozens of makers of great gear.

We now have covered 10 Winter NAMM Shows with a staff of up to more than a dozen people at times made up of on-camera hosts, techies, and my babysitter/Production Manager, wife Nja. We have cranked out 150 – 200 interviews each show in a four-day period.

Thanks again for following what we do!
